But...did he really do it?   Sounds like it, but I can't figure out, how.   He did live close to the Ramseys when the child was born (1990), but then the family moved to Colorado.  She only became a child "beauty queen" around the age of 5 or 6 when she was in Boulder, and won some pageants at their summer home in Michigan.  Some things don't add up for me.  He was "teaching" at various jobs in the South in the 90's, then moved to Petaluma CA.

My questions are:

1. How did he know of/her, them?

2. Was he in the Boulder, or Denver area at the time of the killings?  His ex says he was with her in Alabama in 1996.

3. How is he connected to John Ramsey?  The ransom amount is nearly exactly the amount John Ramsey had for a Christmas bonus that year (118,000...a very strange amount for a ransom, and quite lowball, but maybe the ransom had nothing to do with it, and this was just a case of molestation gone awry).

The only plausible explanation I can come up with, is since this guy was an obvious sex predator and computer geek, he had gathered info on JonBenet from the internet, perhaps viewing pictures of her in pageants.  Then, he traced her whereabouts and gathered details of her family also via internet.  The father had an Internet Graphics firm.  Was the suspect a former employee or did he do any business with this firm?   Those are details he would have to know in order to schlep all the way to Boulder CO, plan an abduction, and break into the house (which he would have had to case thoroughly beforehand, so as to avoid detection, have time to do his nasty "bidness" and write a 3 page handwritten "ransom" note (I presume the child was already deceased by that time).   Did he fly to Boulder, or get in his trusty sports car and drive all the way from the dreary dregs of dixie, just to meet the girl of his perverted dreams?  There are obviously blanks that he can fill in, for us, so this all makes sense, but based upon current publicized information it does not add up very clearly.

Any thoughts?  Clearly, it is a bizarre, tragic and mysterious case.
