Ridiculous, and tragic. Musing over the history of events, I think he had an epidural, rather than a subdural hematoma, though I won't argue with what's printed. These are notorious for producing exactly the symptoms listed, ie initial loss of consciousness, then a "lucid interval" followed by deepening coma over a period of hours. It can be cured if detected early. If he would have agreed to medical treatment including a CT scan of the head when first injured, he might have been alive today. The cause is a skull fracture over the temple area which lacerates the middle meningeal artery. Blood then accumulates over the brain, but it takes a few hours to start compressing and finally herniating the brain, unlike a subdural which can take days to accumulate (hence my questioning the diagnosis). In any event, that was more than just a push..he must have been slammed or trampled to have that happen, or he fell from a height.
