ah well...you're too kind, really. the visit was also to be a surprise present for Marcia the Martian's birthday...and not only was she very pleasantly so, she was also quite taken with the congeniality and impish charm of our host. as she has a bit of a thing for seemingly nice Jewish boys, i dare say i must insist upon that being her one and only meeting with you, sir.....but she and i thank you heartily for the pleasure of your fine company.

then we went to Magic Mountain all day Tuesday and rode ourselves absolutely jelly-kneed on the latest rollercoaster technology in all its DNA-rearranging fury. the cure was three days camping out in the Joshua Tree desert under the full moon with some friends. very little assembly required, comes complete with bunny rabbits, lizards, fine bbq and giggling. ah, summertime.
