I love when Mellencamp's name comes up, seeing that I'm a 'oosier and all and grew up listening to Johnny C. years before his big television commercial of selling-out his song to a automotice ad.  You know, remember, that bunk that he preached about he couldn't believe that Seger could do such a thing and bastardized anyone that did that.  But, seeing that the best parts of Mellencamp parted ways years ago [Larry Crane, Lisa Germano, Kenny Aronoff and the late John Cascella], he needs to find some way to keep his music abroad since it's so atrocious since anything even after Human Wheels.  Wow...I feel good getting that off my chest.

Oh, and a better ambassador you ask?  How about Steve Earle.
