Kevin, How many infants, esp from minority communities have you and your immediate friends and family adopted? Why are there so many children bounced around in foster care? I know several gay and lesbian couples who have adopted special needs and crack babies? How do you feel about that?

Also, in the Jewish religion, a child is not considered a person - viable or with a soul until actually born. So, if we uphold the separation of chuch and state (I know, big joke given the Bush administration), Jews should have the choice based on their religious beliefs, right?

And if ending a life is to be so very much discouraged, where do you stand on the death penalty - oh, one person's reason to take a life is superior to someone else's?

Yes, some people abuse the right to abortion. Some people abuse their spouses, their chidren, etc. But the vast majority of US who have had to make that horrible decision have done so only after great agony and due to private and personal reasons. And it is always with profound sadness and regret for what might have been had circumstances been different.

Apparently, many Republicans do NOT want to end Roe v. Wade because they believe that once it's in the States' hands, the majority of people will release what's been lost and they will bear the brunt of political blacklash. And, even if it's left to the decision of individual states for a while, it'syour fellow citizens in the less well-off States that will suffer the most.

Abortion will ALWAYS be available somewhere in this country. Shouldn't we have the shared goal of reducing the numbers rather than using all of our time and effort in politicizing a given.
