A truly devastaing loss. I only in the past year or two really understood the true importance of The Clash,as Peter T. re-introduced me to their music by giving me ALL of his old Clash cd's as he had upgraded to re-mastered releases. I'm sure today is hard for you P.T. I always was into The Jam, The Specials,and could be assesed as a Elvis Costello fanatic. But as tributes and eulogies will surely make clear better than I can,The Clash and Joe Strummer's contributions to popular music have just been elevated that much more.
