Snatch - directed by Guy Ritchie (Madonna's hubby or yamulke provider or sperm donor or whatever he is). great characters, great writing and pacing...'what, Tommy, before ze Germans come?'...'Want sugar for your tea, Bricktop? - 'no thanks; I'm sweet enough'...'Anything to declare?' - 'yeah, don't go to England.'...'and i want a new caravan fer me Mum...periwinkle blue'...etc. a minor classic in the genre, methinks.

Fear and Loathing was very well done, loved it. lived it.

the Shrek movies are excellent for vulnerable cracked-out/hungover days when you need some entertainment with no sharp edges.

Python flicks are always good. how about Blazing Saddles? and Young Frankenstein was brilliant. still is.

and of course, any movie where Australians are victorious and hobbits die slowly and painfully.
