He doesn't have to go anywhere. He is what he is. Free thinkers would, I hope, take his personal life into account and factor that into their assessment of him and his brand of fanaticism, for better or worse.
Sadly, if he were to go, so many would be left wondering what to think and how to be. Who would fend for the Dittoheads that were ...Left Behind.
I also hate to think about who would step up and fill massive void.
I say keep the tool in plain sight, where he can be monitored. And some day (soon) dissected and studied, like the specimen he is.
