Gene ~
Amen.
For me, putting together a mix CD, especially one for the friends (Is that OK?) (or combatants if your prefer) I have here, is an opportunity to share a passion. Of the Cd's I have received so far some have artwork, some are just a CD, either way is fine. Ultimately the music on the CD is the important part, its the gift we want to share. But the fun for me is in getting the whole package right. I was working on my cover art last night, and having a fine time doing so. For the record a Google image search for Burn Unit...is a depressing thing.
I absolutely appreciate the Cd's I have gotten so far. But (and this is in no way a complaint) each one deserves my full attention when I listen to them so there are still a couple I haven't even put in yet. Now that mine is almost done I am really looking forward to the exploration of all this new music. I will say that MJG, Kevin & Kathryn's Cd's are Cd's I have had a chance to listen to , and they are all ear opening experiences.
If I am lucky, something I create and share with you will have some small impact. Either you'll discover something new, remember something old or be pleasantly surprised by something you never imagined you'd enjoy.
My promise to you all...You'll get it when its ready. Fortunately that will be soon.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Roger
