Herring,
I like Ben Folds' stuff , gotta be in the mood.
"Kalamazoo", was excellent! love that song at
night on the freeways. Plants a trouper, still
going at it , I haven't put it away this weekend.
I feel like I'm in India smoking hash. How is the Freedy Johnston CD that you
mention? I have not heard that one, but I really
dug "This Perfect World" a few years back. The New Freedy is actually really old Freedy,
Rough Demos, never made his first records,
catchy as hell, creatively
simply unpolished, and at that level where
he's got that hook, and playground ideas
swirming around in it. "She's a Goddess"
and I've Got The Papers Right Here" throw in
"Friend in The City", all very cool and worthwhile.
Freedy has never (imho) come
close to "this perfect world" since,
he needs that Butch Vig production again.
Always thought Vig would be an excellent
Producer for a Baerwald Solo Disc. Cheers!JW
