I've always thought the best thing about Montana state
government was no state sales tax. This may be as good
though. Montana, for a while, also banned urine testing by
the private sector, before the state got bullied by the feds to
drop the ban. There is a civil liberty tradition here.Montana is no left-wing stronghold though. It's one of the
reddest states, with a something like 70% vote for Bush.
