I've liked him for a long time. He writes a lot of great songs,
some of them lots of fun, some pretty thoughtful. He has a
bunch of great lines in his songs. My favorite album of his is
'Life Down Here on Earth'. One of the songs on it, 'I Feel Fine',
has become my de facto theme song. His album 'Kevin Welch'
is nearly as good and all his stuff is well worth listening to.He's one of the Dead Reckoners, sort of a co-op record
company (Dead Reckoning) for some singer-songwriters. It's
an interesting way for non big-time musicians to sell their
music, much the same as Oh Boy! is for John Prine.
