look Micko, i'm sorry and all, but that was the only accurate thing that Pat has ever posted (although i'm sure the travel stories he's going to post are going to be chock full of insights too). anyway, you have my sympathies. i lie awake in my bed disguising my dread as concern for your [half]human condition...

love the fretless sound. i'm farting around on a cheapo Squier bass that i got a few years ago but on occasion have managed to work it without falling over. i'm also banging away on an old Ensoniq sampling keyboard these days, getting some Casio-esque but kinda cool piano-ish tracks down on a Roland VS-880 digi 8 unit. ran some vox through a distortion box, banged on some stair railings and pots and pans, before i knew it i had something that could be mistaken for a musical song in lesser developed parts of the world, i.e. Texas (that's 'elitist liberal hate speech' there, btw; enjoy). i'll be calling in one of my ringer guitarista buddies to complete the picture, and will have something to send in in a few weeks...should complete my ostracization here. :)

but, yeah, i'd really love to hear people's originals. capital idea, old fruits.
