I ied to my p's about spending the night at a friends house...instead we waited outside our local FlipSide records for tickets to see RUSH. I think the Moving Pictures tour. I got the tickects and I got busted. We wern't nearly as clever as we thought atb age 13. After all that trouble I gave up those good Rush tickets for a chance to go see my favorite band then ... and today. Cheap Trick. At the old Granada Theater on Chicagos north side. I was overwhelmed by the size of the theater (really not that big) but I was oyung and the theater was amazing. At the time the theater was also housing a stage version of the Rocky Horror Show play. The goth setting and the sheer excitment of my first live show remain one of the most powerful events in my young world. They were on tour behind All Shook Up the George Martin produced follow up to Dream Police.

The band rocks as hard as ever andthey still know how to have fun.

Great idea thanks for the chance to relive and share that
