I seem to remember it for a couple of reasons. I believe Spence committed suicide after he was discovered. Additionally, he lived in the apartment of Rep. Barney Frank who I believe received censure after he admitted this--and, or--having utilized the services of the prostitution ring. Frank apologized and was forgiven by his contituents in a fairly conservative district in Mass. Sections are deeply conservative. Barney has been a good congressman since, I think. I wish I could remember the whole story of this, though. Too much useless information running around my brain.
