Kevin,

I’m sorry. The caffeine had not taken effect. I had thought you were talking about the population of Iraq in the 46 million, but the population of Iraq is, to my surprise and embarrassment maybe 23 million. Sorry I misunderstood what you were saying.

I know that Bush was talking about other countries as well with the with us or against us spiel, but he and his friends have also spent millions of dollars trying to say that it’s us or death from the wolves. I’m not red riding hood and I’m not falling for it. There has been a constant drumming into the consciousness from these people and their satellites in the media (those who get the talking points directly from the RNC) that it’s Americans who hate America who are against this effort. That’s simply not the case. I love this weird and wild little nation of ours and part of what I love about it is the ability to say, “Er, hey wait a minute. I’m not buying that.”

Are you saying that Hussein was harboring terrorists? If by this, you mean the al-Zarqawi chestnut of his hiding out under the protection of Saddam, I do not believe that Saddam had a thing to do with him. Sure, there are terrorists now—now that the country is one gigantic fire sale.

I was in support of going after Bin Laden et al (still am), by the way.

And I’m still pro choice. But sorry again for misunderstanding what you meant before. I can be a tad slow on the uptake some mornings--and afternoons. Not to mention the evening.
