Hi all,Just heard a new song by David called "If
Wishes Were Horses" from an upcoming CD
called "13 Ways to Live," a compilation album by
Texan musicians responding to the Iraq War.
(Also on the record are Ian Moore, Alejandro
Escovedo, Patty Griffin and Will Sexton). The
song is a must-have for Baerwald completists.
It's a ghostly ballad with a haunting piano refrain
and occasional splashes of harmonium,
clarient and cello -- David's stellar vocal on the
track is quite emotional and harkens back to the
mood of "Bitter Tree." The liner notes say that
Baerwald wrote the lyrics and the music was
written by Stephen Barber. Perhaps David could
post some more details about the track...The press release says the album is released
Sept. 21.cheers,
manic nirvanaP.S. Any other libertarians on this forum?
