Hey Pat~

you have triggered 2 things in my mind.

1) Saw prince about a week and a half ago here in Chicago. Great show. My wife who can take or leave His Purple Majesty was impressed. Most of the songs were reworked and sounded fresh and relevant. The acoustic set was amazing & his guitar work was exciting. My wife & I got a kick out of the whole narcissistic tone of the evening. (All Prince music and video & stills before the show) But the man is one of the few who can support the image.

2) Boston Live. I saw them on the Third Stage tour at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin. Quite possibly the worst concert I've ever seen. On record I dig the first 2 Albums, the third was headed in the schmaltz direction. But the concert was note for note, solo for solo, inflection for inflection the exact same as the albums. It didn't help that they showed an amazing lack of creativity by playing everything chronologically, including Third Stage in its entirety.

Give me Boston on album or CD but beware the live show. I sincerely hope things have changed for the better in their live shows. Let us know.
