Sorry, I've not read any of Xavier Herbert's work. I should really, since he was Western Australian...I read a lot, especially in winter, when the days are shorter... I like biographies too - recently read Lucy Grealy's autobiography "In the mind's eye" - very moving and sad knowing that after it was written, she committed suicide - some people have lives full of hardship and pain that they don't deserve - puts me in mind of Kyle...
