Hi Crew,

I zipped over to Langley Memorial tonight after work.  Found Kyle T. and his mother in his room.  He was watching the baseball all-star game when I stuck my head around the curtain.  Introduced myself, said I had learned of his plight on the dbis site.

We chatted for 1/2 an hour.  Discovered we both attended the same Elvis Costello concert in '93.  Decided we are the only two DB fans in Canada  (j/k.)  He has no VCR or DVD player in his room, so is unable to view the VHS of the DB videos I brought. 

It seemed a bit awkward at first.  I found myself stumbling for words, being the extreme introvert I am.  As we chatted, I became overcome with emotion at seeing such a bright young man laying in that bed.  Our grip on life is tenous at best. 

Eventually I had to get home as the wife was unaware of my doing.  I found myself lost in thought all the way home.  How lucky I am to have a beautiful wife and two healthy, active young boys. 

He is looking forward to hearing from any dbis posters if they can.  I mentioned there is likely some booty on the way, it seemed to surprise him.  Hopefully we can pull through and he receives some goodies to whittle away his time there.
