Kent -

Always interested in your postings and replies whether or not I agree or disagree with them.  I don't think (personal opinion speaking here of course) that there's one other person who devotes so much of one's self to issues that they are deeply concerned by or moved by more than you.  And, I can appreciate your firm standings, again, whether or not I agree/disagree with your ramblings.  Take that as a compliment (yes, DBIS fans, I JUST complimented Kent - throw me off the borad, blah, blah, blah).

Now, with that having been said, I would suggest to you, speaking on my own terms for my reply to you in Kevin's defense, that you might restructure your phrasing of words that you posted to Kevin.  Here's what you wrote:

KDB QUESTION - "What is it about abortion that horrifies you so much that you give it prescedence over other issues that have a much greater negative impact on all of our lives --- issues such as predatory capitalism, the dumbing down of our children, the endless monetary scams, inflation, unemployment, intellectual fascism --- each one affects more people in a much more profound manner?"

The part that I had trouble with was the underlined portion (my underlining them - not yours).  Kent - what one person deems more important (predatory capitalism, the dumbing down of our children, the endless monetary scams, inflation, unemployment, intellectual fascism) doesn't necessarily mean that they are more important than that of the abortion issue.  You see, you're speaking for everyone in the way that you're implying that these issues have a greater negative impact on all our lives, which in fact ... they don't.  You and anyone else can make an educated stab at arguing your cases all day on your issues, but each persons mindset and thinking (and heart) are in different places than yours is, Kent.  I just wanted to chime in because I was surprised that you'd make such a statement like that without really giving it a total complete thought before clicking 'Post Message.'

'Nuff said.
