Mick:
Yes, with The DARK TOWER, I have all the first-edition limited
editions which were published by DONALD M. GRANT.
However, I still have yet to receive my copy of SONG OF
SUSANNAH --- which the publisher has said I should receive some
time next week.

As far as whether The DARK TOWER is better than LOTR --- I
will
wait until the final volume --- which is titled THE DARK TOWER ---
is published on September 21, 2004 and I have read the complete
ending of the story until I make a judgment such as this.
I will say this, though --- STEPHEN KING is my favorite living
author of fiction --- and so far --- I believe The DARK TOWER is
his MAGNUM OPUS.
Previously, I counted THE STAND as my all-time favorite KING
book.
For the uninitiated among you --- here is the complete
listing of
the complete DARK TOWER series of seven novels:
I - The Gunslinger
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-1.html
II - The Drawing of the Three
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-2.html
III - The Waste Lands
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-3.html
IV - Wizard and Glass
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-4.html
V - Wolves of the Calla
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-5.html
VI - Song of Susannah
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-6.html
VII - The Dark Tower (Release date: September 21, 2004)
http://secure.grantbooks.com/z-sk-dt-7.html
This is by far SK's best work and I would highly recommend it
to
those who enjoy epic-length fiction --- such as LOTR.
