Greetings:

ROCK AGAINST BUSH is a compact disc with DVD that is being sold for around $7.00 or $8.00 by the FAT WRECK CHORDS label. This is an outstanding package which is being sold basically AT COST.

The CD contains 26 songs from the likes of JELLO BIAFRA, MINISTRY, SUM 41, THE OFFSPRING, PENNYWISE, NEW FOUND GLORY, and LESS THAN JAKE featuring BILLY BRAGG --- plus many others. All the songs are songs of DISSENT and PROTEST.

As is stated right on the CD itself:

"The bands on this compilation have come together for one reason, and that's to express our outrage at --- and form a unified front against --- the dangerous, destructive, and deadly policies of George W. Bush and his administration."

Inside the CD booklet is an essay by the founder of the label, and it also lists a grand total of FORTY REASONS TO HATE BUSH JR. --- where in very simple terms --- the danger is spelled out for all to read.

The songs and the bands are on the heavy side --- punk rock, skate punk, heavy metal, industrial, and blended genres of all of these are featured on this disc. However, if you have never heard some of these bands, this is an inexpensive way in which to do so.

The DVD is filled with some great stuff:

01) DAVID CROSS rants about how DUMBYA is already going down as our WORST EVER president.

02) Excerpts from the "UNCOVERED: The Whole Truth About The Iraq War" and "UNPRECEDENTED: The 2000 Presidential Election" documentaries. (Excerpts are about 12 minutes each)

03) A great short film NO MORE ENRONS --- a documentary produced by AMERICAN FAMILY VOICES. This highlights the relationship between Bu$hCo and the corporate whores once known as ENRON.

04) The FIVE finalists for the MoveOn.org BUSH IN THIRTY SECONDS contest. This is worth having for these alone.

05) Four music videos from:

a) ANTI-FLAG - Turncoat

b) BAD RELIGION - Sorrow

c) STRIKE ANYWHERE - Infrared

d) NOFX - Franco Un-American

By the way, this song FRANCO UN-AMERICAN is one of the all-time best music videos I have ever seen. It is along the same lines at the music video CONSUMPTION, by TOBY SLATER.

Also, if you buy this direct from FAT WRECK instead of at the store, they include a nice assortment of stickers and lapel pins.

So, if you LOVE great music, but HATE the BU$H CRIME FAMILY --- this is a great way in which to stand up for DISSENT --- while we still can, that is!

For seven or eight dollars, you cannot go wrong with this one.
