Is the 3000 coffins of the lost in the WTC or say the 100's of coffins of the children lost over there from the suicide bombers of buses. Why not shows those? I think the American people understand the number 700 lost and showing those images would just fuel anti-war support for an election season.
Pat,
I've seen lots of memoria regarding WTC victims...whether there is a link between Iraq or no. Many of the folks killed on 9.11.01 had their funerals and processions televised. Perhaps you were smart and kept your television off that week, or watched taped episodes of Hogans Heros or something. I dunno. But every where I turned, I saw NOTHING but 911 memoria.
So, while these unfortunate victims of horror are immortalized on TV, documentary, print, tatoo's and bumper stickers, the folks who willfully signed on to walk into the meat grinder are not to be memorialized? Give them the same fanfare if they wish. (I would like to see that kind of thing be up to the families. Me, I'd prefer I go out without a press conference but that's just me.)
