Ed:It is troubling that what you consider "fuckin' nuts" is really just
an instance where someone is standing up for something they
believe in. The doctrines of the current Catholic church have
allowed priests to sexually molest young children --- and later
hide this fact --- acts which are morally repugnant in any sensible
persons opinion. The holocaust? I wasn't personally there so I have no way of
knowing what REALLY happened. However, it does make me
wonder why a person like Ernst Zundel is a political prisoner if what
he is saying is not based in fact. It seems to me that if Zundel is
being held as a political prisioner, then SOMEONE does not want
him to have a public voice. Why is this, if he is ultimately talking bullshit? As far as Hutton Gibson is concerned, I have read what he has to
say, and he has a lot of good points. He has never mentioned the
holocaust in any of his written materials or in the video he sells, so
I don't know where that is coming from. What he does do is refer to
very explicit and specific points of how the entire Catholic religion
differs in dogma and action. If he was in any way what is made of him publicly, I would never
have bothered to get in touch with the guy. You have to
understand that people are labeled in ways that support prejudice,
and Hutton Gibson a good example of this. If he was that much of
a nutjob, wouldn't his son distance himself in some way? However --- to pretend that Hutton's work is mutually exclusive to
the film his son Mel is releasing in just a few days --- is simply
unrealistic. In fact, Mel Gibson's films have leaning toward morality
play themes during the past ten years or so. In fact, I would even
say that Mel is financing his father, as Hutton's newsletter costs
only $5.00 per year (four issues). He talks about the crimes of the Catholic Church and not the Nazi
killing of innocent people.KDB = Buffalo, NY USA
