I think that the "We Got Him!" argument comes from a population that does not understand the law. (not that I do...) But there are certain reasons you get to go to war LEGALLY. Just because it's a damn good reason, is not a LEGAL reason to go to war. If "a damn good reason" were a legal pathway to legal violence, then I contend that I should have been able to fire a rocket up the tailpipe of the bastard in the Pearl Lincoln earlier today who cut me off and almost forced me into a ditch.
The icky part of this whole thing is that the rationale behind the decision for a declaration of war didn't hold water. It was illegal. (this is where my knowledge of law gets fuzzy) Personally, I think words like "War Crimes" apply here. And when we talk about Genocide, does that include blowing up lots of Iraqis?
