David,

Last week, I was in Kuwait for an exhibition called "Rebuild Iraq 2004".  Anyway, on the flight down, I watched "Runaway Jury" and suddenly heard "Bitter Tree" in the background... and behold, on the credits, the maestro himself, appeared as "Musical Consultant"! Great!  (Well, maybe you guys have been talking about that for a long time on the message board, but it was new to me).

Anyway, before I babble on I just wanted to congratulate you on landing the co-composing gig with Hans Zimmer for the new movie with Nic Cage.  Sounds interesting.  In that regard, I have a question for you, or to put it more precisely, I guess, your take on how it is for you to be working in Hollywood, sort of... well, not mainstreaming, but you know...  I mean, to me your music has always been strong, deep, unforgettable and with a message, qualities that to me is the exact opposite of what Hollywood represents.

Yours,

Don Pedro
