When I was facing what I was told was unsurvivable --- it took me quite some time to realize that there were things I needed to accomplish that would take precedence over having children in this life.

I guess I got very good at the rehearsed response --- but I've got to tell you --- it is very tough to see everyone around you have something precious that you cannot have for yourself.

Thanks for the complement --- perhaps I would have made a good father --- and as many of you here at the DBIS have mentioned to me at one time or another --- I do in fact care deeply about humanity.

One thing is for sure however --- IF I did have children --- they would be home schooled.
